In order to successfully penetrate new markets, high-performance real estate teams need efficient systems and processes. With the introduction of the KW Expansion Network, Keller Williams offers its agent partners this and more.
The network will support the operations of KW’s US real estate expansion teams – teams that have decided to expand beyond their local market to a new location – through a simplified, standardized compensation plan and an efficient and coherent operating structure.
In the course of 2021, KW will continue to operate the nationwide effort. The KW expansion network will be operational in all 50 states by the beginning of 2022.
“The best real estate teams continue to outperform the market by a significant margin, so we meet their expansion needs under a national brokerage company with a simple, attractive financial structure and a single operational system per state. “Said Marc King, President of Keller Williams.
Management of the KW expansion network
At the forefront of the effort is Cody Gibson, Director of Expansion Growth. A real estate veteran of over 20 years old, Gibson is CEO of the Portland Real Estate Group and the United Home Group, which together with 206 partners operate 109 offices in 26 states and 5 countries.
“As an agent who has expanded into over 100 markets, I’m very excited to take on this role,” he said. “Since the expansion began in 2011, I have been passionate about creating opportunities and coaching agents to leverage the collective resources provided by Keller Williams. With this move, we are doubling our ongoing commitment to be the best home for teams with unlimited growth potential. ”
Keller Williams has also named Matthew Szalecki Senior Director of Strategy and Operations for the KW Expansion Network. Szalecki previously served as Director of Brokerage Operations for Fathom Realty and as Regional Operations Manager for eXp Realty.
“I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to lead the KW Expansion Network,” said Szalecki. “We are already an industry leader in the development and success of real estate teams. Now we have made it operationally and financially easy to build a team without limits. “
“Expansion teams will continue to be supported by Keller Williams’ existing local offices so agents can meet customers, attend live training sessions and closings, and add to the culture of the local market center,” added Szalecki.
Expansion – A natural expansion for limitless possibilities
The KW Expansion Network is the latest in a long line of efforts by Keller Williams over the years to ensure its agents have limitless opportunities to expand their careers and build and maintain a big, successful business and life. Based on the proven models of The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and further developed in cooperation with executives and top expansion teams in the USA; it aims to set up agents for repeatable success. Keller Williams knows that everyone can achieve more together.
The new venture comes at a time when the top-selling real estate teams in the United States continue to outperform the market. According to REAL Trends’ The Thousand, the top-selling US real estate teams, sorted by transaction page, saw an average or average increase in transactions of 49.7% in 2020 compared to 2019.
For Keller Williams agents and their teams, expansion is a natural next step in building a successful real estate business.
“Some teams have just entered their local market and are wondering what the next challenge is. It’s about rebuilding it elsewhere and creating a regional and eventually national brand, ”says Gibson. “The existence of the KW Expansion Network opens up the potential for top agents to develop their businesses into empires and bring their influence to the national stage”
Szalecki adds, “For many teams, the team leader can reach a point in their business where they have grown as much as organic growth will support them. If the team wants to grow at this point, the KW Expansion Network gives the team leader the opportunity to consider where the ROI of advertising spending can be maximized – be it at his current location or an adjacent market. ”
“It also gives many teams the ability to refer deals to agents in other markets, and they’re usually always in the same markets. The KW Expansion Network gives our teams the ability to keep this business under their roof by adding agents in these local markets. The chance for agents is great. ”
