5 reasons to join a Real Estate Investor Association (REIA)

In this day of competition for attention, it’s important to get back to basics. With the constant bombardment of social media advertising, the simple concept of authentic engagement is being overlooked.

I would like to introduce you to your local real estate investors association (REIA) again. There are many benefits of being part of your local REIA that are often overlooked. They may not always do the best job with marketing and promotions, but the education you can find is still up to date.

I was recently reminded of my introduction to the Phoenix real estate market through my local REIA – a staple of the real estate market in every city. Why have so many overlooked REIA and fallen victim to high-priced courses and mentoring programs? Maybe it’s simply because many are blinded by the advertising and forget about the benefits of the local REIA.

As a reminder, here are four simple benefits of your local REIA.

Ready to invest?

Our weekly webinars will educate and encourage you – and teach you to take action towards your dream of financial freedom. Ready to dive in? Find and register for upcoming webinars, find and review old webinars, and get real estate investing education.

Authentic education

Most REIAs offer a policy similar to BiggerPockets, without egregious or excessive sales pitches.

The teachers and the training are authentic, with no ulterior motives. There is no hidden agenda or sales funnel to take care of. The teacher is actually an active investor who enjoys teaching. You can learn from practical experience and analyze current offers in your home market.

Local market connections

As well as being experts in their field, your teachers are experts in your local market. During your training you will find out what is happening in your market. You can analyze and evaluate offers in your city.

I looked back at my REIA to find out more about what’s going on in my market. Given the volatility of the real estate market and the speed of change, it’s important to have a local perspective.

Lots of influencers are currently promoting diversification in external markets, which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s important to take a local approach. The market updates I get from our local REIA are amazing. The trends and forecasts really help me position my company for the future.

Relationship building

What better way to meet other real estate professionals who are serious about their education and investments? Here you will find money, offers, partners and everything else you need for real estate.

You don’t have to pay $ 5,000 for coaching or $ 30,000 for a mastermind. Some REIAs are even non-profit to underline the principle that it’s not about the money.

If you are looking for affordable and market-specific education, the REIA is a great place to start.

There are opportunities for a rock-solid training without a guru pitch. Also, one of the first things gurus recommend you be part of your local REIA because almost everything you need is under one roof.
